I can’t think of a better way to celebrate Mother’s Day other than sharing these maternity photos of glowing and gorgeous first time mama, Ellie. Along with doting father, Kyle, and the magic hour light we created some memorable moments I hope they will be able to share with their baby girl for years to come.
Congratulations to Ellie and Kyle! You two are already such amazing parents. Penelope is one lucky girl.

I started out photographing this family even before Paige (the little one) was born. In fact, their mother, Olga’s wedding was the very first one I ever shot. Now, here I am years later editing Olga’s younger sister’s wedding where Bella and Paige are the flowergirls. They just keep on getting more and more gorgeous. I feel so privileged to be capturing the meaningful moments in this close family’s lives.
This past season I had the privilege to second shoot a few weddings alongside the talented Allison. So, when she asked me to photograph her maternity/family session for her Christmas card I was both flattered and slightly nervous to be shooting a fellow photographer. Of course there was no reason to be nervous. I had a lovely and relaxed time with the glowing Alison, her husband Donovan, her two labs Hogan and Stella and her little bun in the oven. We took a walk to a nature reserve near her house where her pups love to go and then headed to the beach nearby for sunset.
Allison, I am super excited to meet your first born. Congrats again to you and your ever growing family! xo, Rachel
